Maxine Thall

Registered Mental Health Intern

Florida (In Person, Remote)

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Hi! My name is Maxine Thall, and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Florida working towards licensure under the supervision of Jessica Sweeney.

As a counselor, I aim to develop a safe, warm, and trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients by demonstrating and encouraging unapologetic authenticity of self. I encourage my clients to recognize and take full advantage of their natural strengths, while collaboratively addressing issues that may prevent someone from reaching their full potential and becoming the best version of themselves. I approach sessions from a person-centered lens to assist you, as your ally, in your unique personal growth journey. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to challenge irrational thoughts, develop emotional regulation skills, and increase motivation for positive change. Additionally, I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, a brief, evidence-based form of psychotherapy that utilizes techniques to help clients address mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, phobias, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My favorite personal self-care activities include singing, writing, practicing yoga, arts and crafts, and snuggling with my cat, Fiji.
