Hello! My name is Ramon Zardon, and I am a licensed psychiatrist in the state of Florida. My main focus is on providing compassionate, personalized care to individuals navigating the ups and downs of the adventure that is our daily life. I believe that building a trusting, open relationship with my patients is central to fostering a non-judgmental environment of warmth, healing, and growth. Most importantly, I hope for all patients who work with me to truly appreciate the strength that lies within them to overcome the challenges that come their way.

My approach is centered on appreciating the “here and now”; there is so much to learn about ourselves and how we interact with the world when we take a minute to acknowledge how we as individuals react to others around us. While my visits will be centered on medication management, my natural inclination is always to dig a bit deeper and help address the issues that lie below the surface-level symptoms a person may bring to their visit. I specialize in the management and treatment of a broad range of conditions, including Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Personality Disorders such as Borderline Personality Disorder and Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder, PTSD, and ADHD, as well as Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorder. Mental health is both an emotional and biological phenomenon, and I am delighted to offer my services to create a personalized treatment plan to your unique needs.

During my free time, I primarily spend time with my wife and my daughter. I try to be consistent with exercise despite life’s responsibilities, and truly enjoy a great hike along a nature trail or going rock climbing. Most of all, though; I am a gigantic fan of videogames, and it would be unusual to find me without either my Nintendo Switch or a Steam deck. My love for videogames isn’t just a hobby; I have also delved into research and literature review surrounding videogames and the psychiatry embedded within them. So, if you ever find yourself wanting to discuss the Jungian psychology of the Persona series of games, or the mechanism by which the Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask explores the Kubler-Ross stages of grief, I might be the psychiatrist for you.

Above all, comfort and trust are the central tenets to any successful professional relationship. I sincerely believe the job of a mental health professional is to first meet a person where they are, and then help that person move towards becoming the person they want to be. No two journeys look the same, but each journey begins with a single step. We would love the chance to be the ones that help illuminate the way.
